The foundation was created in 2020 in memory of Devin Espadron. Devin was the creator and CEO of Element Beverage Company. Element Beverage Company manufactures and retails fruit flavored lemonades in 3 delicious flavors: pineapple, strawberry, and tropical fruits. The goal and mission of "Operation Give Back" is to assist youth entrepreneurs ages 13-25 with funding, education, and resources to start their businesses. Each year a qualified youth entrepreneur will receive available funds, and resources to guide them to long-term growth in entrepreneurship. Devin created Element Beverage Company in 2016 during his senior year at St. Augustine High School. Devin diligently did research on the beverage industry, obtained funding, and had his lemonade recipe formulated and manufactured. He lived to see his products sold on the shelves of supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, convenience stores and food festivals in Metro New Orleans and surrounding parishes. Unfortunately, Devin's precious life was short cut. He was killed in November 2019 due to senseless gun violence that still plaques inner-city communities today. His case is still open and unsolved. Devin's memories, legacy, and entrepreneurial spirit continue to live through his parents, David Espadron and Keishia Deverney, who now owns and operates Element Beverages.
